Liverpool Schools Investment Programme has won an award at the regional Excellence in Construction Awards.
The award was for integration and collaboration as a result of the work that they have done in creating work opportunities, apprenticeships, maximising local spend and working with the local supply chain.
And we are pleased to have contributed to this success too... By bringing together local people, local employers and the main contractors, Liverpool In Work has played a part in creating jobs, boosting skills, building better communities and improving people's lives.
Simon McEneny, Assistant Director Regeneration, said 'While we have won accolades for the design etc. of the schools in the past this is the first that recognises the effort and result we have achieved on the social value side of things which was a corner stone for the programme.'
The Schools Programme will now be entered for the national Excellence in Construction Awards later in the Year.
